The Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) is an aptitude test for grades 5 through 11 used by school administrators to evaluate students for admission to indepedent and private junior high schools. The test includes sections on verbal, math and reading comprehension. There are two levels to the SSAT: a lower level for grades 5-8 and an upper level for grades 8-11.
