ASE A1 Practice Test
ASE identifies engine repair as an individual service area. The engine repair service area involves the following components:
• Cylinder heads -The foundation of the valve train.
• Valve train -Components that open and close the cylinder, allowing the air and fuel mixture in and the exhaust gases out.
• Short block assembly -Those components that are found in or on the engine block.
• Cooling system -Components (such as the radiator and water pump) that maintain proper engine temperature.
