Academic Tests

Summative Assessments - Students in grades 3-10 are assessed annually in reading and math. In grades 4, 8, and 10, students are assessed in science. Finally, in grades 3, 5, 7 and 9, students are assessed in writing. The tests are online and include multiple-choice, constructed response and task-oriented questions.

Wyoming Athletic Trainers Testing and Licensing - Athletic trainers in Wyoming must take both the national exam and a state jurisprudence exam. The latter is administered in multiple-choice format by the Board of Athletic Training. Candidates have to pass the exam before they can apply for a license. The Board administers the exam multiple times each year.

Wyoming Real Estate Salesperson Test and Licensing - The Wyoming Real Estate Commission requires all salespersons to complete an education course and then take a licensing exam before they begin to work in Wyoming. The test contains both a state section and a national section. Salespersons must get 94 of the multiple-choice questions correct to achieve a passing score.


Driver's Tests

Wyoming Driving Tests - Wyoming requires all applicants for a Class C (operators) license to pass a vision screening and a medical questionnaire. Unlicensed drivers are also required to take a driving test and a written test, but the latter are waived for new Wyoming residents. Drivers who are 16-8 years old receive an intermediate permit.

Wyoming Commercial Driving Tests - Wyoming CDL (commercial driver's license) applicants must take a computerized knowledge test, a vision test, a practical driving test before they can receive their license. They must also present proof that they have passed the federally mandated physical exam.

Wyoming Motorcycle Tests - New Class M (motorcycle) operators must take three tests in Wyoming: a vision test that proves their vision meets minimum standards, a written test on safe driving and a skills test. The skills test is waived if a candidate completes a motorcycle driver's education course. New residents can be licensed by reciprocity.
