Some states require people who handle food, like cooks and chefs, to be certified to work in the food service industry. The National Restaurant Association provides a program to get certified, under it's ServSafe program for Food Handlers. To become certified as a ServSafe Food Handler, a candidate must pass a test covering such topics as food safety, personal hygiene, cross-contamination, allergens and sanitation. Take the following ServSafe Food Handler practice test to see how prepared you are for certification.
